Quite possibly the easiest and quickest way to attach or secure anything!
The cam buckle has been a long-time favorite way to attach tree stands and climbing sticks.
The only hold up became having to thread the strap all the way through into and then back out of the cam buckle.
It took time and caused more movement.
With the creation of the Flat Hooks in conjunction with the Cam Buckle the need to thread the strap entirely through the cam buckle was erased.
I don't believe there is an easier or quicker way to attach anything!
Rated to 300lbs this combo is a great way to attach and or secure anything!

Learning to set it with out noise will take some practice that's ok then learning to place the steps with it not worried about it at all it will work just fine and alot lighter then what I had

My first 10 steps from bullman outdoors come with the amsteel and I like it better personnal preference
I will use flat hook and cam buckle that come with steps to hang my bow and quiver
Like I said they are both very good attachments my preference is the amsteel
Might but a second set up now with this strap. This is awesome and so quick, simple and quiet

Great product! I highly recommend you set your rig up with a repelling rope and a safety 8 to descend the tree. Steps are smaller than you will probably be used to and if you're wearing lose clothing it is a guess to hit the step correctly. It also helps to make stops as you descend to remove the Amsteel cord quickly. I will be ordering a few more so I can have a little higher height on ridge lines.
Im no tree step expert but I think the Origin steps will be a good replacement for a climbing method other than sticks, for me.
I went with the cam straps.
