The Platform Step has angles that are similar to the angles your feet will contact the steps as you lean. No other steps have this feature.
If you are wondering how you would carry them, you can add on the brown dump to have an ideal way to carry and assist in attaching your Ring of Steps. You can also keep your tether under your ring of steps in the bottom of the pouch and right there where and when you need it!

First time hunting with these since buying them this summer. Have been running with a hang on stand hunting public for many years, switched to a saddle this year. Debated a platform for ring of steps and happy I went with the ROS. Easy to setup - easy to make the ratchet quiet (just do it slowly) - and I agree with Bullman Outdoors that the ratchet is the best way to get a rock solid hold. Had two doe circling me for about an hour and was able to walk behind the tree and keep searching for a buck while they milled around. The doe saw me at one point and stomped but after I stayed still they forgot about me - I think my profile was more natural looking like a branch vs sitting in a hang on stand. Definitely feel like I made the right decision!
Ridiculous how much weight I saved with these..almost 6lbs going from 4 sticks, to 1 stick/aider and 6 steps. What’s even better is that they take up barely any space. I just put them in my dump pouch with my lineman’s. Once the amsteel gets stretched a bit from your bodyweight, the steps stayed tight to the tree. Very happy with my purchase

I have been researching saddle hunting for a couple of years now and finally bought all the gear i need, I just received my ring of steps and the new origin climbing steps. I am very pleased with how solid they are! What attracted me to them was the weight and compactness but they are also very stable and easy to hang.

The new Origin Steps with the Amsteel attachments are game changers! I have been climbing trees for years and I have used just about every climbing method…….screw in steps, Summit Buck steps, Lone Wolf sticks, Muddy Pro sticks, Out-on-a-Limb Double step sticks, Lone Wolf Custom Gear Double Step sticks and the previous version of the Bullman Step along with multiple aiders……to name a few.
The new Origin Bullman steps are far more stable than the previous version and seat very well to the tree.
Gone is the time you take at the base of the tree to remove your back pack, remove your sticks from your backpack, hang them on your saddle or rock harness and clank them up the tree. Also gone is the time you take packing up your sticks at the base of your tree before you head back to your truck. There is also a significant equipment weight reduction by eliminating 4 sticks, 4 cam buckle straps and your aider method.
I use two Latitude Method dump pouches and two of the Bullman pouches (hooked to my saddle or rock harness) to carry my tether, linemen’s rope, gear tree strap, and 12 Bullman steps (I typically only need 10 steps and my platform to get to 20 feet). I carry a couple extra steps in case I run into a funky tree or if I drop one while climbing.
When I walk up to the tree, I hook my bow to my retractable bow hoist and start climbing. My backpack never comes off until I reach hunting height. I save at least 20 minutes unpacking and packing my sticks.
Time to sell all of your climbing sticks and aiders!
